Terms of Use
These terms apply to your Spielkulisse account and to everything you do with it in the app and on this website. Spielkulisse is offered by Tim Olbrich (see the Legal Notice). By creating an account, you agree to these terms. How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Version of 30 October 2026
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Use an email address that belongs to you, and keep your password to yourself.
- Your account is for you alone. You are responsible for what happens with it, so tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.
Fair use
Spielkulisse is made for people, not machines. You must not:
- access, scrape, crawl or download the sound library or other content automatically, for example with bots or scripts, beyond the normal use of the app;
- get around or disable security and access protections, or use modified copies of the app;
- reverse engineer the app or the service, except where the law expressly allows it;
- overload or disrupt the service, or create accounts in bulk or automatically;
- pretend to be someone else.
The sound library
The music and sound effects in Spielkulisse are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own use within the app, for example at your game table. You must not copy, sell, redistribute or publish them outside the app, or let others use them that way.
Content you upload
Where Spielkulisse lets you upload your own sounds or other content, you are responsible for it and must hold the necessary rights. Content must not:
- be illegal, or infringe the rights of others, such as copyrights, trademarks or personality rights;
- glorify or incite violence, or contain threats;
- spread hate, discriminate against people or harass them;
- be pornographic, or sexualize minors in any way;
- contain malware, spam or advertising.
Your content stays yours. You grant us the non-exclusive, royalty-free right to store, copy, process (for example convert formats) and make it available as far as needed to run Spielkulisse. This right ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backups, which are overwritten within seven days.
Reporting content
Anyone can report content they believe is illegal or breaks these terms, using the contact details in the Legal Notice. We review reports promptly and carefully. If we remove or restrict content, we tell the person who uploaded it and why, and they can respond.
Breaches of these terms
If you break these terms, we may remove content, suspend your account temporarily or close it, depending on how serious the breach is. Where reasonable, we warn you first. We tell you about any such measure and the reason for it.
Availability and changes to the service
We work hard to keep Spielkulisse running, but cannot guarantee that it is always available, for example during maintenance. We may develop and change features, as long as this is reasonable for you.
Paid features, when we offer them, may come with additional terms that we show you before you buy. Purchases in the iOS app are also subject to Apple’s terms.
Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence, we are only liable for breaching an obligation that is essential to these terms and that you may rely on, and only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, our liability is excluded.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the dashboard. We may end your account with reasonable notice, or immediately for an important reason, such as a serious breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the law or Spielkulisse changes. We tell you about changes in advance by email. If a change needs your agreement, we ask for it, and you can delete your account if you do not agree.
Final provisions
German law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live remains unaffected. If any provision of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in effect.
